Andover, Michigan

Introduction

Tunnell Communities engaged Nadi Group to plan a manufactured home community in a rural township of Grass Lake, Michigan. During the planning process, Don Westphal [principal emeritus], became a partner in the project. He considered it an excellent opportunity to create an attractive and affordable community, one that he could cultivate from start to finish.

Project Summary

Fortunately, the site was previously master planned and zoned for manufactured housing.  Nadi Group experienced normal bumps in the road to approval and construction. Don set the standards for home appearance and prepared the plans for not only the roads, utilities and lots; but also designed the clubhouse which was built in a Pennsylvania factory and driven to its location in the community.  

Our Role

Andover received the Community of the Year Award from the Manufactured Housing Institute [MHI], a U.S. trade organization representing companies and organizations that are involved in the production, sale and financing of manufactured housing. Four Leaf purchased the existing Andover community, and the expansion portion is currently in the planning stages.
