Glampground in Cape Vincent, New York

Project Overview

Introduction

This unique glamping experience will see the enhancement of a site to complement an existing historical villa on an island in Cape Vincent, New York. This low-impact, low density development will see a small cluster of rustic cabins that will bring guests closer to nature.

Project Summary

In addition to its location and historical background, the site is adjacent to water on two opposite sides and is characterized by existing tree canopies. The proposed twelve cabins are proposed to be located under the existing tree canopy and positioned around the trees to provide a rustic, natural glamping experience. Other highlights include a high percentage of dedication to green nature space and tree preservation, respecting the 100’ coastal environmental buffer, controlled access of the guests, and carefully placed amenities and paths.

Our Role

Nadi Group provided land-planning for cabins that will complement the redevelopment of the historical villa. The main goal for the layout is to carefully respect the existing nature to reduce the impact on the environment, while taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings. The team also considered privacy and security measures in order to mitigate impact on the community.
